Fitted for My Mask for Radiation
Dec 07, 2025

Tomorrow is Day 1 of radiation/chemo. 11 days ago I was fitted for this mask that secures my head and shoulders so they can be perfectly exact in where the radiation hits.
These photos are from that mask fitting run.
Starting tomorrow, 5 days a week (for 6-7 weeks) I'll be locked down with that mask so I can not move my head or shoulders for about 15 minutes, with the radiation beam lasting around 3-4 minutes.
I'm not too nervous heading into this. Honestly I'm just eager to get this process started, and start blasting this cancer out of me!! Will be interesting to see how my body handles the chemo too.

I'm using the same performance optimization strategies from my photography career and trail running hobby to navigate cancer treatment - just another transformation in a life of reinvention. As a certified life coach, I help high-achievers tackle their hardest miles: breaking down overwhelming challenges into manageable phases, making data-driven decisions under pressure, and executing even when motivation seems to have run out. If you're staring down something hard, let's talk about your strategy.
